Robert Swan’s mission for the last 33 years has been the preservation of Antarctica. Since his first expedition in 1985 to the South Pole he has worked tirelessly to inspire people from around the world to understand their responsibility towards this icy content. Due to the success of his previous expeditions many of the worlds largest corporations have asked Robert to create a place where people of diverse backgrounds and perspectives feel welcome and safe to discuss their journeys/challenges and solutions to everyday corporate sustainable and leadership issues.
In response, in November 2025 Robert will lead the first ever Allies for Sustainability expedition to the Antarctic.
This will be an expedition where every group has a seat at the table, and where sustainability is discussed, and shared as one team. Where a limited number of individuals will come together to impart and address issues within their organization, how they are tackled and ultimately resolved. The sharing of information among like minded people.
Sustainability presumes that resources are finite and should be used conservatively and wisely with a view to long-term priorities and consequences of the ways in which resources are used. In simplest terms, sustainability is about our children and our grandchildren, and the world we will leave them.
